100% Pure Badger Bristle Shaving Brush with Faux Tortoise Shell Handle & Free Brush Stand from Parker Safety Razor

I cannot say it is the best brush out there, but I CAN say it is the best brush I ever owned. I had tried a cheap one from Walmart that definitely was not badger. Maybe goat or raccoon, possibly even porcupine, but not badger. I did not review this one right away because some reviews on this brand had said they lost a lot of bristles from the first week of use. I have seen maybe 3 fall off after almost of month of constant use. This, combined with the soap I got, is helping with my shaves. I am using a dull razor (Fusion, can't afford to many refill blades) and I am able to get more uses out of the razor than when I used gel.

Quality - Great (So Far)

Looks - Nice, classy (Only FAUX turtles were harmed in the making of this handle)

Cons - Comes with cheap looking holder (Cheap looking free one is better than expensive one STILL at Amazon!)

So all my reading said that 100% badger hair is a must. When I saw the prices though, wow! I read other reviews about this one here and couldn't be happier. Holds water really well, not a single shedded hair, great texture, nice big plume of hair.

All in all, excellent and exceeded my expectations. Yes, there are far more expensive ones for sale, but I will leave those to the people who feel if they spend more, it works better. Not the case.

So if you are looking for a badger hair brush, you honestly cannot go wrong with this one. Oh, and it includes the perfect stand.

This brush was my upgrade from my initial brush, which was boar hair. It was well worth the cost, and an excellent value. This pure badger brush retains water extremely well, and you can feel the weight of the water it's holding. In fact, it holds water so well, you may have some issues rinsing the soap out once you're done shaving.

As for feel and functionality, it's much softer and denser than a boar hair brush, and applies a nice, thick lather. I have no idea what some of these reviewers are doing to their brushes that they're losing so many bristles- maybe they got something from a bad batch? Perhaps they're cleaning it with acetone? My brush has lost at most a hair or two per use over the three weeks I've had it- even during the initial washing. Usually it loses none at all.
