My son trims his entire head twice a day. Andis blade set trims close. Product does not trim as close as a razor blade. There is a stuble. However, neck trimming and edge trimming of hair line has a good close trim.
My son breaks the edge of the clipper blade by tapping against the side of a sink to dislodge hair. This is not normal wear and tear. Use a brush and the recommended oil to clean the blade set in order to get a good long life out of the product. Local barber said to oil the blade set frequently (daily or after each use). There is a recommended oil for the blade set from the manufacturer.
