Last night my girlfriend tried the clippers and cordless trimmer for the first time on me. The clippers cut well without pulling hair like the cheap Conair she had. The only reason we rated this as 4 stars is because the on/off switch was a little difficult for my girlfriend to turn on, but it wasn't a problem for me. It could also be that maybe her fingers might have been a little greasy after oiling the clippers before use. None the less, Andis should have made the switch with a dull rough or rubbery surface instead of like the smooth glossy surface of the base. The trimmer worked great trimming my beard and side burns. When using the after 7day shadow attachment sometimes the hairs would get caught between the blade and attachment causing you to pull the hair instead of cutting it; OUCH. I figured out that you can't use the same technique you would with the usual attachments; you have to hold the trimmer as if you are cutting with just the blade. Hope this helps.
