It has a clean, fresh aroma (very subtle) that completely washes away when you rinse off; makes your face slippery-smooth for shaving; AND the tube lasts forever. Literally: squeeze out a large pea sized amount, rub it around and be amazed. I've been using only this for years. Best shave cream I ever found.

I use a Hoffritz slant-blade safety razor, a badger hair brush and shave every other day. Sometimes if I let it go for a while, I'll add the Anthony pre-shave oil. Great product. Anyhow, the Anthony cream lathers well (as well as Trumper but provides a less gunked-up shaving experience) and has an unoffending odor with a little tingle (like the Baxter shaving cream, which unfortunately fails to lather at all.) I finish things off with the Baxter aftershave balm. Love that stuff. After trying numerous other creams, the Anthony shaving cream is superior. It's an outstanding product and I highly recommend it. Four stars ONLY because it's pricy.

The best I've found so far. It only takes a little bit for my entire face. I also use it to shave my head.

You don't want to apply too much b/c it will take a while for the cream to break down in the water. And if you do that, it will jam up your razor. When it happens, it's not permanent - just keep rinsing your razor between swipes and it will work itself out. The key is just lightly coating your skin before shaving. It really goes a long way.

The lubrication is outstanding. I can pass the razor over my face 4-5 times and still it works great. And because you don't need much application, the tube lasts a long time.
