This is NOT a complete charge/clean base unit. This replacement part is the upper half only. Use this part to repair your base if the arm on yours no longer locks down to charge & clean shaver No installation directions are provided from manufacturer. Basic instructions; First, if yours is not working, I would suggest taking it apart so you can see what you're getting into. It's already broken so your no worse off if you get it apart and decide not to buy the part. Remove cleaning cartridge and then just take the 'arm' in one hand and the base in the other then steadily and firmly pull the two pieces apart at the seam about half way down the base. There are 4 tabs that hold the 2 pieces together. There is also a small wire harness that will need to be unplugged once the two pieces are seperated. You install the new one in the opposite order. The hardest part about installing the new part is getting the tabs lined up correctly and also the 3 clear prongs that fit into the back of the "charge', 'clean' and 'cartridge' lights.

This seller rules. I like the cleaning feature of this razor, and when it stopped hanging on to the razor I started shopping for a new one. For about 10% of the cost of a new razor, buy this. It's not that hard to install - don't let that scare you.

Item arrived quickly, packaged well and was exactly as described. Like other reviewers, my Synchro Clean & Charge base stopped staying latched when I inserted my razor. The razor was still good, so I was not going to buy a new razor. I looked for a replacement clean and Charge but didn't find one under $60. Looked on Amazon and found this part for less than 1/3 the cost. Great job Amazon. No instructions came with the part, but the description on Amazon was right on. Just pull the base apart, unplug cable, plug in new part, push back together. Great job Amazon...

Works but not easy to install...no directions. Would be much better if there were directions especially describing how to open base..
