I've had no problems with this item. Works as well as the first charger cord I had, but I lost that one during a move.

This product is rated for either 110 or 220 volt outlets. Unlike another Braun model that was universal, mine burned out the first time I used it overseas with 220V. Now I have to buy another. The shaver is great. The cord sucks for anything but US usage.

This was an exact replacement of the original cord and it worked great for my Braun 8585 shaver. It fits nicely into both the bottom of the shaver and into the charging/cleaning dock. Its coiled design makes it pretty durable in travel situations.
