A classic scent!,

Bay rum reminds me of the good old days when getting a haircut meant climbing into an old "Koken" barber chair (guaranteed to withstand a nuclear blast) and having your hair trimmed by a man in a white smock who wasn't timing you against his next cigarette. The walls were mirrored, and maybe there was a cheesecake calendar on the wall and a pile of centerfolded "Esquires" on the table in the uncomfortable waiting area where the sun blazed down unforgivingly through the big plate glass untinted window even on cold days. It was a man's world of leather strops and towel steamers. The only women were those bringing the little ones for their first haircuts (remember booster seats?) or wives who waited patiently, not hovering over the chair directing the barber on how to do his job. There was nobody pointing to a picture in a magazine saying, "Like that!" and Miss Clairol wasn't hanging provocatively on the wall. Smelling Great,

I just love this stuff. Bay Rum gives the skin and nose a new type tingle and smell not found in any number of popular "After Shaves."
Beware though, several brands offer to be real Bay Rum and are not.
Clubman is the best. Also, try their "After Shave Special Reserve Cologne." Women go crazy over both of these.

Nothing Like Bay Rum,

I bought this after shave because my Barber uses Bay Rum after he shaves the back of my neck and I love the scent. I ordered this brand because I have always used Clubman and loved it, and I still do. However, the Clubman Virgin Island Bay Rum smells nothing like the classic Bay Rum scent. It smells like some extra spicy almost cinnamon scent. I didnt like it at all. Maybe someone out there might love it, but I didnt, mainly because I had a certain expectation of what it was going to smel like and Clubman didnt deliver. If you want an awsome classic Bay Rum scent go and buy Stephan's Bay Rum. That is the same that my barber uses and its the best.
