Conair LTGS40PCS Ladies' Grooming System

The unit cost me $19.99 at Fred's. I gave it to my 17 yr old daughter for Christmas 2008. It is now August 2009 and I am just now having to order a replacement foil & cutter by calling 1-800-3-conair. Cost is like $7 to replacement foil and cutter. I think that is a pretty good bargain for the price I paid.

I have been very happy with the Conair electric razor. It is surprisingly gentle and thorough.

My wife's shaver died after some 20 years of service, so I bought her one of these Conair units. First, the good: the shaver system includes several different heads/attachments. These seem to give the Conair a lot of versatility, particularly for the price. However (and here's the not so good...), my wife is a little disappointed at the results she gets from this shaver. Naturally, it does not work as well as a double or triple-blade razor; however, it also does not shave as closely as the 20-year-old electric shaver that it replaced. She's used it wet and dry with the same mediocre results. So, my 4-star rating is based on the average of 5 stars for versatility and price, and 3 stars for the performance of the product.
