I've had several of these cutters/trimmers in the last several years. The first lasted about 8 months even though I did't use it more than once or twice a month. It worked great at first but after a while it started to slow way down even though it had been on the charger. I sent it back for a replacement and the same happened to the second one. The recylced batteries they use don't last very long.

One of the things I found interesting was that the trimmer can be put on the charger backwards. This wouldn't be a problem except that (after I took it apart) there are no diodes or any other components to ensure the postive terminal pin of the trimmer lines up with the positive terminal of the charger. So if you put the trimmer on the charger the wrong way you will discharge the battery and possibly damage the charger. Now if they had put in two diodes then it wouldn't matter, the charger would charge the trimmer regardless of it's orientation in the charger. I would gladly pay...Read more
