Despite being in my thirties I often had breakouts of mild acne using any modern disposable or electric razor. I decided to switch to a double edge safety razor, because I had read that some people are not irritated using the older style system. I was amazed at how much most of the razors sold for. It seems many of the items were designed more for vanity and appearance, and a higher price does not equal a better product. I searched online and found this razor. It works great, and my neck is no longer irritated when I shave. The seller shipped this item promptly and it was delivered right on time. I am one happy customer!

I purchased this safety razor because I have been dissatisfied with the expense and shaving experience of disposable razors, and wanted to experiment with safety razors with a low-cost, entry-level product. I expected the product to be functional, but somewhat flimsy. After receiving it, I was pleasantly surprised by its quality. The "three pieces" referred to in the product description are the handle and the two pieces that make up the head. The top piece of the razor's head contains a male threaded component at the center, which feeds through the bottom piece of the head into the female threaded component in the handle. The handle is a stainless-steel tube with female threads at the top and bottom. A "pommel" of sorts screws into the bottom of the handle. The handle is hollow, and could possibly hold toothpicks or other small toiletry items. The product as a whole is durable and precisely-machined. I've just started shaving with a DE razor and I was looking for something to get me started without destroying my budget. This is that tool. It seats blades nice and straight, is easy to grip, and is inexpensive, yet sturdy. VERY forgiving and mild shave. I have really sensitive skin, yet I've gotten no razor burn or breakouts. It's really helped me learn DE shaving technique.
Note: Buy a sample pack of blades with this. First, this razor doesn't come with any. Second, you'll want to try out a bunch of different kinds to find the brand that works for your skin.
