Mild blades,

I have used DE razor (Merkur 34c (or 178)) for 1 year and I have very sensitive skin.
Because I know my skin, I didn't try blades which have been known as ''sharp'' blades, such as Feather and Bic.
I have tried mild blades; Merkur, Derby, Astra, Wilkinson Sword.
However, my sensitive skin always gets razor burn even if I don't have any nick.
I think that my preparation was good. I always shaved my face as soon as I finished my shower.
I used preshaving oil, Proraso shaving soap (for sensitive skin), badger brush, and Proraso after shave skin (for sensitive skin).
Dorco is the only blade I can finish my shaving without any skin trouble.
I can take a BBS shaving with 2 path (up & down) shaving.
I typically use one Dorco blade four times. I flip it after 2 shavings.
From 5th shaving, it still gives very comfortable shaving but the result turns rough.
I know, the preference is different for every person...Read more

I use these blades in my disposable-blade straight razors. They are excellent for performing a straight razor shave. Where other blades have required 2-3 blade changes during the course of a shave, I can shave a full face once overwith usually one half-blade, with the exception of extremely coarse beards which generally require only two half-blades. I also perform straight razor nape shaves with every haircut, and the inexpensive Dorco blades makes it worthwhile for me to do so.

I have to spend about 20 minutes in the shower to get my beard soft enough to shave with this, and it still takes three passes. On the plus side, they don't irritate my skin or cause razor burn. I keep swapping new blades after a shave or two but still no luck. Using a cheap Lord razor and Nivea products.
