For those who've discovered (or rediscovered) the joys, tradition, and economic value of double-edged razor shaving, these blades are terrific! They are of excellent quality and really inexpensive - only a few cents per blade. I use a blade a week. Some guys with heavier beards might get five shaves. In any case, these blades are a really good deal.

I discovered these blades quite by accident, as a s few of them were included with a pair of vintage Gillette double-edge razors I purchased from someone. These were such a pleasant surprise...incredibly smooth and somewhat forgiving of uneven shaving technique. Some have regarded them as "unsharp" compared with the likes of the famed Feather blades, or the ever-more-elusive Gillette "Swedes", but I say these blades hold their own in terms of shave quality and comfort. You might have to make an additional pass for that proverbial baby's-butt-smooth shave, but I doubt you'll find another blade that makes that final pass as non-traumatic as this one.

Having said all this, no two faces/beards are exactly alike, and differences in shave preparation can and will have an influence on how a particular blade does its work on YOUR face. I had purchased about 400 of these blades from another seller. These are good blades, many say for the beginner. My first time shaving with one I wasn't impressed with it while shaved. Felt like it pulled on my beard. But after 3 passes I had a BBS (baby butt smooth) shave and no nicks or cuts. Then I was impressed. These are good blades to use on days when your faces not in good shape or extra sensistive from shaving with a different blade or razor. I can get 4 to 5 shaves with one blade. Beats the heck out of the multiblade razors foisted upon the public.
