I'd been tempted to try my hand at an old school straight razor for awhile now, having progressed (regressed?) to a single-blade safety razor several years ago. I have an old hand-me-down Tucker antique from a grandfather but its badly in need of a restoration to make it a worthy shaver. I'd never gotten it honed right and it kept me guessing if this was any easier with the right equipment.

Enter Dovo. This made a huge difference. A bit of a learning curve (I've got the nicks to prove that) but I went from shaving a few strokes with the dovo and finishing with my Merkeur safety blade to only needing that one for my lip.

Great package and service from these guys. Now to start collecting.
