The razor is light weight but still feels good. The handle/scale is smooth and comfortable.

The black plastic grip on the shank/tang is loose after a dozen or so shave. Not worried about it falling off, but I don't think it should move at all.

The blade holder(the red part)is still very tight after putting in my second blade (I figure this as a plus)

This is my first shavette and I would have given it 5 stars except for the black plastic grip.

i had this razor for about a year and i have to say i'll never go back to anything else. a great shave every time. the only complaint i have is finding good razor heads that are double sided not a single sided blade.

Wow! That's about all you can say about what a close shave I get with this. I have a pretty heavy beard but this shavette takes it down to nothing. My wife could not believe how smooth my face was after using this just once.
Some quick details about this product. I ordered it from FGP. It arrived with the red razor blade holder (as shown in the picture), plus the black holder (for the long blades), and another black holder with some kind of saw-tooth pattern on one side (still not sure what this one is for). It also came with one Merkur Super Platinum double edged razor blade (fits in the red holder) and one long double edge razor (fits in the black holder). Everything was stored in the small plastic case that the shavette came in.
I do want to warn guys thinking of getting this: it stings like crazy the first time you shave with it. And be prepared, you are going to cut yourself. Still, it's worth it. You will get better at it with practice.
