This shaving bowl is definitely top quality and well made but it does cost a fairly good amount. It's got the features one would want in a quality bowl. The handle is easy to grasp and the bottom of the bowl has ridges built in to help with making lather with the brush. Unless this is dropped and broken or something I don't see why it won't last for as long as you will be around to use it.

This is my first Edwin Jagger item and I'm extremely pleased with it. As a result of the quality of the mug, I will be investing in one of their brushes very soon.

Bought this few weeks ago. It is really nice and very good quality. You can use anything to mix shaving soap in but I bought it because It looks real nice with my Edwin jagger razor, badger brush and chrome stand. The shaving mug also has a nice handle.
