This Dovo straight razor reflects the original traditional tortoise handle (faux tortoise). Traditionally real tortoise shell was used, but since it is now illegal to harvest, resins are used to replicate the look. The important things haven&#39t changed a bit though. Each razor is still cut, shaped, polished and riveted by hand by master craftspeople in Solingen, Germany.

This razor is beautifully inlaid with a sterling silver DOVO logo that makes it special. The blade is mirror polished Tempered High Carbon Steel that is 5/8 inch wide hollow ground with a round point. The 24k blade etching, shank detail and file jimps really set off the inlaid tortoise shell handle. This razor is truly `old world tradition` with the original style high carbon tempered steel blade. One of Dovo&#39s most popular straight razors.
