There isn't anything special about these applicators. They are straight wooden sticks. A popsicle stick would do the same trick.

I decided to buy these products because I'm a first time wax user.... However, I read reviews AFTER I made the purchase on these items (which I regret). These items DO NOT COME IN A PACK OF 100, I'm really anal with couting the things I buy and there were only 99 sticks (I paid $7.99 = I want my money's worth!).
Secondly, these items are nothing more than popsicle sticks, you can buy better one's at a craft store like Micahel's for a lesser price. I'm really upset with Gigi for putting out a product like this and charging WAY more than what it should be. Hopefully my other Gigi purchases won't be so upsetting.
