Pretty solid razor, only about 2.2oz (weighed on food scale). The handle is very easy to grip even when wet. Not very aggressive IMHO. I can actually apply a bit of pressure with out cutting or nicking my face. I usually shave every other day (cartridge razors), but this doesn't seem to get quite as close. I have stubble within 24 hours. Perhaps it's my technique that isn't up to par yet. I do like the results though. No razor burn or ingrown hairs, just doesn't stay smooth as long. I plan on trying something more aggressive to see if my results are related to my lack of proper technique. I ordered a Merkur Futur, sadly the one I received had a wobbly head assembly so I had to send it back. I may also try a Parker TTO model, I've read they are more aggressive than Merkur.

And he absolutely loved this! he's been a Gillette guy from many years and wanted to switch to safety razors so I read reviews of different products and finally decided to give all these in a shaving kit.
The only complain he has, the handle is not that long even though it says "Long Handle" but I guess once you get used to it you probably won't even feel that.
