I bought this as my first entry into DE shaving and have been using it every other day for the past 2 months. It's sturdy and works well with the Derby and Merkur blades I have been using it with. It has a good weight to it and the handle's texture is easy to grip even while wet. It has the same Merkur DE shaving head that I have seen on most other Merkur products, which a reliable tried-and-tested design. Overall I like it.
