Well this is the first double edged safety razor I have owned. So not sure if I can say it is the best or how it may compare for you. As always your mileage may vary.
The razor has a rather short handle but I don't think you would want a very long handle for this kind of shaving. It is nice and heavy. Feels like it is built like a tank. If you end up getting one you will have a razor for life. The only issue that I have found other than the occasional nick is that with the head as large as it is it is really hard to get the hairs right up by my nostrils. Other than that it gives a great shave. As for the blades they are the only ones I have used so far so can't really rate them other than to say they do a good job. I am glad I made the switch.
