Merkur Futur Safety Razor, Polished Finish

I've been meaning to review this shaver since I got it about 6 weeks ago. I got an email reminder this morning just as I had used the shaver to clean a weeks worth of beard off. There is not enough good things I could say about this razor. I've tried every type of razor known to man/woman. Three blades, four blades, electric and none of them compares to this one. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a close clean shave. And you can't beat the price of the blades, $1.95 for a 6 pack. Oh, and my shave this morning was terrific. I wasn't looking forward to the pulling and tugging, but there was only a slight tug around my cheeks and mustache, otherwise it was a breeze.

This is a great razor once you learn how to use it. It's a bit on the big side, but you get over that after a few uses.

Took a while for me to get the hang of it but now I love it! The book Gourmet Shaving helped a lot! I'm using it like this: Wash face, apply grapeseed oil to face, apply shaving soap to face - Geo F Trumper, shave with the grain, reapply shaving soap to face, shave horizantally, rinse face, apply "geo f trumper skin food" to face and my "nik is sealed" on cuts.
