I don't understand this product. I have a Merkur Futur razor which I really like. The Merkur blades for that are super sharp. The problem I have is the Futur is pretty bulky to get just under my nose, and to boot I have a mole in that spot so things could get pretty bloody. I resorted to touch ups in this problem spot with my old disposable (which even at many months old does the trick). When I saw this small razor at Art of Shaving store (impulse buy without checking internet/Amazon reviews), I thought it was the answer to my problems. But when I tried it the blade couldn't actually cut the hairs on my face. It was really painful and would just tug at them. Art of Shaving didn't have extra razors, so I thought maybe I got a fluke dull one that came with it. So I ordered these extras. I bought these for my now husband and he loves them. They are the perfect size for his moustache because his full size razor doesn't allow for the same precision. He is obsessed with his facial hair. I would definitely recommend these razors.

Not nearly as sharp as merkur double edged blades, they tend to pull the hair instead of cutting. I see no reason why merkur can not sharpen these better.
