One of the causes of dull blades is water sitting on the blade. This stand allows for proper drainage and extends the life of blades.

It is simplistic and displays my Safety Razor perfectly. The design is also for a straight razor, but my Muhle "Sophist" with Irish Bog Oak handle fits perfectly. The stand has practically no weight to it so that you have to be very careful in placing your razor on it. It does move about easily. This is not meant to be negative. The small footprint and the elegant presentation of the razor on display, more than make up for the light weight.

Yes folks. This is a great stand for a straight razor! When on the counter, the stand is about 4 inches high, and the space between the cradle for the razor on the top and the section to rest the razor on the bottom is also about 4 inches, so it is stable and fits my razor very nicely. The item came quickly and well packaged, as is always the case with this seller. Very cordial emails as well. Their store also has a wide selection of nice items and I am making my way on over to it right after I write this very favorable review! I shall return to this seller for sure. They are the best!
