Mühle got just about everything right in this razor. It offers all the advantages of an open-comb razor, but somehow with an amazing degree of comfort. The thick handle is great for gripping, and the handle pattern helps even when wet. The highly polished chrome glides smoothly on your skin, and wipes clean when you are done. The quality of the plating and finish are immediately apparent at first glance. If you're looking to upgrade to a quality open-comb razor, you can't go wrong with Mühle R41.

This is a fine razor. I have and shave with numerous DE razors and this one, with a little practice, gives me the closest shave by far and normally with only a single pass which I cannot say for any of my other razors. In fact I shaved with it this morning at 7:00. I only did one pass and my cheeks are still smooth at 9:00 pm. This razor is probably the closest thing to a straight razor shave available in a DE. However, it did not start this way. In fact I really did not like this razor at first. I used it twice, nearly cut my face off and put it away.

Just for reference I have a very thick coarse beard and find that with many less agressive razors I have to do 3 and sometimes 4 passes to get a BBS. I am not happy with the construction of the product and is not solid the handle is hollow and is aluminum not metal Muhle R41 is a high price for the construction bye.
