Does the job, but not painlessly,

I used this on my chest and upper arms. The smell was just what you'd expect from a Nair product, a combination of chemical and burnt hair. The directions state to leave on for 4 minutes, however I had pretty thick hair, so it took around 7 for the product to have the desired effect. Fortunately the burning isn't that bad. The Nair worked just as it said it would, however whenever I tried to 'wipe the hair away', it usually took several tries to get the hair just to start coming off. It's also pretty hard on the skin (as the bottle warns). I finished using it about 10 hours ago and still have sensitive red spots on my chest. My biggest complaint is that I was left with prickly stubble all over which I'll now have to shave off (I was hoping to avoid shaving at all). Though the Nair was fast and convenient, I think I'll go with waxing next time.

It's easy to apply and when left on for at least 5 min, the hair can be scrubbed of with a mesh or regular sponge. I did not experience any skin irritation or burning.
However, it leaves stubble and is no substitute for waxing.
Works Well,

I was using the Nair for Men cream until this easier to use spray came out a few years ago. The spray says to leave on for 4 minutes but that was too short for my coarse hair. Through trial and error, I have left it on as long as 12 minutes with excellent results, no lasting irritation and absolutely no stubble.
