Ever since I've received this razor I've used it exclusively -- the first time in my life I haven't had to use a regular razor to touch up areas my electric couldn't get. I bought this when my old Norelco 985RX (from about 1992 -- I think it was the top of Norelco's line) finally died. I had used that razor regularly for a first pass, then would follow with a regular safety razor as the Norelco always missed many hairs on my neck and along my jawline. Back in the early 1990's prior to using the Norelco I had used both a Remington and Braun and concluded that electric razors just couldn't completely replace a regular razor -- at least for me. So with this replacement I wasa just looking for a decent razor that would allow me to do that first pass. When I tried it I was pleasantly surprised that it got most of the hairs -- with a bit of manipulation I found it got almost all of them. (I find it's still hard to get a perfect line up by my sideburns but it's good enough.) I don't know...Read more

Ordered this for my hubby a few days before Christmas. While it didn't arrive in time to be under the tree, he was thrilled! Always loyal to Norelco, I knew I wouldn't go wrong there...he charged it right up and gave it a whirl and pronounced it "just what I wanted...". I was dubious about buying an electronic from a private dealer, but it was in the original packageing and did have all the warranty info..., so I feel I got what was advertised at less thatn half the cost. I hope that if proves its worth and value, but time will tell.

This shaver replaced a Remington triple-head "floating " electric shaver. The Norelco delivers a much-soother, more-comfortable shave and has an amazing number a shaves between battery recharges. Great razor for the money!
