I regularly use a Norelco 6423LC plug-in razor; the kind that must be plugged into the outlet to work. This is the cheapest electric razor that Norelco sells and has served me faithfully for many years. I'm particularly pleased with its small size and ability to shave close to the edge of the razor; I can thoroughly shave my upper lip area very close to my nose with no trouble at all.

I actually have two identical 6423LC razors because I was initially afraid the razor would fail before I could get the full use of a replacement set of heads; the new razor was only about $10.00 more than the replacement heads so I bought a second 6423LC. Time has since shown that this razor is very long-lived and reliable so now I save money and just order new heads. That plan has worked now for many years.

The razor specifies "Use only head Nr HQ55+" so I ordered the HQ56 only after satisfying myself that they would work in my shaver. I'm happy to report they not only work but do...Read more

I have an older razor and the heads were approaching two years in age and I could feel a difference in their performance. The old heads did not progressively fail over time. Instead, the performance degraded almost overnight. The new heads have returned my razor, and its effectiveness to near-blade quality.

Although this item was identified as being new, it arrived in a plastic container which had been cut open and then taped closed. I have no way of knowing whether these electric razor replacement heads are new. Perhaps someone returned them because they were intended for a different model/brand. I am using them now. Although they are sharper than the heads they replaced, I am not able to judge by what margin.

I bought this item because it was designed for the razor I have and because it was identified as being new. This transaction did nothing to enhance the image of Amazon or my confidence in the company.

I am not looking for an apology but just tighter control over quality
