Here's some advice to American International, DBA American Fragrances, out of Staten Island, New York. The biggest turnoffs to a customer--the ones guaranteed to make a customer furious (and tell all their friends in the process)--are Arrogance, Attitude, and Excuses, qualities every one in your company has in abundance. When a customer contacts you out of frustration because an important order was never delivered, the very worst thing you can do is cover your tracks with lies.
When you screw up and don't ship a package when you say you're going to (which delays receipt of a birthday gift), don't lie and say the post office held it in their terminal, or that my credit card didn't go through right away, or after "looking into it," you've now shipped out a new package with a new tracking number when, in fact, all you've done is finally ship the same package that sat in your warehouse for a week (I know this because the post office does not "repeat" the same tracking number...Read more
