Having used this brush as one of my main brushes in my shaving "rotation", I can tell you to ignore the low price and buy this especially if you use "hard soaps" instead of creams. I have used the brush for over 7 years. It is well made and resilient. I can't say enough about Omega products. They are some of the best values in the shaving world

Let's me keep it short and simple. This is a very good boar bristle brush, in fact I'd rate the "brush" part of it great, as far as boar bristle brushes go. So why the 4-star rating instead of a full 5-stars?
There are two reasons for the 4-star rating:
1) The bristles really have a "boar" smell to them ... even after shampooing them a couple of times, and using the brush a few times. Not really a big deal, as I expect the smell will dissipate, but I have say as an owner of a few boar bristle brushes that this is the "smelly" one I've ever encountered to date.
2) The bigger reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is the handle. It looks great in the photo, like a chromed metal handle (similar to the one on my Parker SilverTip Badger brush -- super product BTW), BUT it's not! It's a plastic, lightweight handle, that feels very cheap in my hand.
