Omega Chrome Shaving Brush Stand

If you are going to invest in a quality shaving brush, a Brush Stand should be next. It really does serve a purpose in allowing the brush to dry properly. As well as storing the brush in the position that maintains its shape. The Omega Stand is stable and looks great. I have used mine for over a year, the chrome surface is holding up great. It does its job well.

I purchased this stand along with a Tweezerman badger brush. The brush fits on the stand perfectly. I thought the stand looked a little silly in the picture, but it looks much nicer in person. Especially when the brush is in it. This stand appears to be well constructed and is perfect for its intended use.

I have been using the Omega chrome shaving brush stand for less than a week and already I have seen orange stains on my white sink caused by rust forming on the bottom of stand. The chrome finish on the bottom of the holder is peeling away, leaving the bare steel exposed to moisture dripping from the drying brush resulting in the rust. I could understand the rust occurring after using the stand for years or if I had scraped it on a hard surface, but the stand is still brand new. This is very disappointing because I had been really pleased with the stand. The simple design of the stand looks nice and it holds my Tweezerman Men's Shaving Brush perfectly vertical which is ideal.

I would not recommend the Omega chrome shaving brush stand due to the rust issue.
