I've been wet shaving for a couple of years, this is my first boar, and it's terrific. This thing feels fine in the hand, looks good (it's a big brush) and it lathers like a champ! My other brushes are much more expensive badgers, but this baby seems just as good as any of them. Boar brushes sometimes come with a "wet dog" sort of smell, but I just gave it a soak, lathered it up with some Proraso menthol-eucalyptus soap, and let it sit overnight - no more odor. My first shaves with it were a real pleasure, and it's not even broken in yet. It's great for hard soaps or creams, and you should see what it does when you whip up a superlather. I paid TEN BUCKS and it arrived right on time. It's a no-brainer - if you wet shave, my guess is you'll like this brush very much.
