Didn't have a problem with charging like the other reviewer, but its just a terrible shaver. If I had anything more than 1 day of beard growth it would pull and tug on the hairs causing a lot of pain. I expect this from an old or undercharged shaver but not a brand new one. Then after 6 weeks I opened it up to clean it and the assembly would not go back together. I tried for about 10 minutes but why bother its a piece of junk.

Ordered this product and it didn't charge, so I got a replacement overnighted from Amazon. The second one I received was clearly pre-used and probably refurbished, but it charged--but only for the first day. Once again, the unit won't charge. What a piece of junk. The pop up trimmer barely works. DO NOT BUY THIS SHAVER.

please read directions carefully. charge for 12 hours when you first receive it. for example the power cord must be kept unplugged when not in use. that helps to save the battery and cord from going bad prematurely. the cord has an adapter built into it to convert from from 115v to 3vdc i think. the top of the razor does not pop off. it is hinged and it tilts back to allow access to everything that is in the top cap. i enjoyed the shaves i have gotten so far with this razor. i don't know how long it will last but it has a two year warranty. it has 3 floating heads. i needed a razor so i bought it and i'm very happy with it so far. will update more later on. it says just to use it for facial hair. it shaved my face in very little time.
