I purchased this blade for my Oster Classic and it works great for fading. I needed a blade that would bridge the gap between a 1 and 000 and this one did the job.

I had been using a 00000 with a #0 guard for 1/16th of inch cut. This method tended to leave a lot of "stragglers". However, this 0A with no guard trims to about the same length. This 0A is fantastic and
leaves no stragglers. Oster makes a tremendous product. Highly recommend this blade for close trim.

I have the oster 76 classic special edition in camoflauge and was using it with the oster combs to cut my own hair. I love that clipper.
I also have a stubble beard and was trying to find how to cut it using the 76 classic. I used the 1/16 comb from the 76 comb set, but the plastic ends of the comb digging into my face was not great, and the beard was just ever so slightly longer than I liked. I tried using a cheaper non-oster beard trimmer, and that cut my beard shorter, but it did not cut as evenly or as powerfully as I needed.
Found this blade. Great blade! Perfect lenght for a stubble beard, and no plastic comb digging into my face.
