Cordless convenience seemed like a good idea, particularly for grooming a Bichon at home. However, this clipper is low on power and endurance. One session may take three to four charges and the motor has difficulty powering through the fur. I think lithium batteries would make the difference.

I purchased this clipper in january, it was a new clipper, and descriptions that I had read about it sounded promising. Unfortunately when i started using this clipper for my job (professional dog groomer), the blade was not sharp, the battery does not last very long, and it does not have the power to get through matting in areas such as the sanitary and behind a dog's ears. Also, I recently purchased two replacement blades and when i started using them the other day, they aren't even sharp. I will never be buying an oster product ever again. Do not buy this product.
I THOUGHT Oster was good!!,

I bought these about 2 months ago. I started a home grooming business but don't have a ton of clients yet. I got these and paid $100. I used them on maybe 2 dogs and a little piece inside broke. I took it back to the store and they replaced it. I used it on 2 more again and I was cutting another dog and it made a weird noise (it had done this before) and and then it would run through the dogs hair and cut a couple of pieces of hair. I finally decided I was done messing with it and took the whole thing back! I have had to leave clients dogs at my home to get it replaced while their dog sits there half shaved! The last time I used my back up $45 wahl clippers when it messed up again! I paid $100 for "better" clippers and end up having to use my cheap ones! Now I am on the hunt for better ones. Don't bother with this!
