I was really surprised at the close and smooth shave. It is so good you can use it as your main shaver and not just a travel shaver.

I have been using this shaver for several months. The shaver runs on AA batteries and rechargeable are fine. The closeness of the shave when using shaving cream is very good and does not burn the skin when compared to a razor. Give the shaver a few days to get a smooth close shave.
One note when cleaning: As recommended by Panasonic, clean the cutter blades with water and sanitize with hand soap. In addition, use a wash cloth to completely clean the cutter blades. Works like a charm.

I'm not giving this product five stars because with my tough beard, it takes a few minutes using this razor to shave.
But it does an effective job of shaving my beard's growth. It just takes a while to do so. For that reason, I'm rating it four stars and not five.
But for most men, this product should work as well as any power (electricity, battery, or rechargable) razor out there.
