I was drawn in by the sleek modern looks of this razor. I'm always used Philips Norelco rotaries in the past and have been very happy with them. My last razor was a Philips Norelco SpeedXL and I'd still be using it today if I had not worn out 2 of the blades after 4 years of heavy use. In fact, I keep it around to help get the stray hairs the Arcitec misses.

If your stubble is medium to heavy thickness, then this razor will annoy the heck out of you. What used to take me about 2 minutes now takes more than 5. It just doesn't want to cut ...and if you have more than 2 days' growth, you are really in for a problem. It takes multiple passes with me stretching my skin to try to get the hairs up...Read more

Love the razor, but 16 days is a little excessive on shipping, considering I live in Louisiana not Siberia. USPS is the absolute worst on shipping. This only confirms it. Use UPS, they are cheaper and a hell of a lot faster. I've had a beard for 25 years and only shave my neck. This shaver works great for the neck.
