While the replacement heads are a bit pricey, I believe they are worth it. As I stated in my review of the razor itself, this razor has given me the best shave I've had in years.

No more "shaving bumps", no more ingrown hairs, this razor and the new head gets everything. And no razor burn.

To replace the old shaving head you just pop off the old head unit and snap the new one into place.

Very happy with the whole product. Recommended without reservation.

Philips Norelco RQ12 SensoTouch 3D Replacement Heads. Best razor Norelco has put out so far. Replacement heads are needed to keep it shaving clean and close. They are a litty pricey but I really like it so I keep an extra set on hand.Philips Norelco RQ12 SensoTouch 3D Replacement Heads

Philips Norelco did not refund me all of my money, as promised. I bought the SensoTouch 3D, followed the instructions for 3 weeks, experienced continuous skin irritation, and returned the item to Philips. They did not refund me all of my money, as their 'risk-free' advertised trial stated. I contacted customer service, who told me that I'd be contacted regarding my claim within 2 days, and now it's 2 months later, with still no resolution of my claim. Bad customer service on Philips Norelco's part, bad job all around - stay away and save your money so you won't lose it!
