I'm not a sucker for advertising and I'm definitely not an impulse buyer. But I did purchase a Schick Quattro razor some time ago to replace my old, tired blade. And I've been satisfied thoroughly with it. However, after needing some refills, I bought these Titanium Coated Blades. Wow. I didn't believe it at first but I actually took a new titanium blade and the regular Schick blades and (I can't believe I'm about to confess this...) did one of those hokey "side-by-side" tests. This blade is excellent. It is an upgrade above their standard blade and, to me, worth the difference in price.

Without a doubt, Schick Titanium blades are the best I've ever used,

I don't have a heavy beard - it's about average. I can get away without shaving for three days and still have the "cool" scruffy look. On the fourth day, it becomes the "dirty" scruffy look, and so I shave.
Because I have sensitive skin, that's what I've been doing most of my life: shaving every third day, sometimes every fourth day. Anything less has always caused razor burn and bumps, regardless of the shaving cream or the razor. (I've been using Aveeno for Sensitive Skin for several years now - that switch was a definite plus. Anytime I use anything different, the shaving suffers.)
But with Schick's new Titanium razors, I can shave *every* day and not cause razor burn or bumps. When my parents see me clean shaven every time they visit me, or I visit them, they (especially my Mom) will be extremely happy. Never mind that I'm 40...you know how parents are.

Seduced by the hype that more blades must be better, I have used a Gillette Fusion Power for years. Then one day my second Gillette just suddenly quit on me. I reached for a Schick Quattro lying nearby and was surprised to find it gave me a better shave. Since then I changed to the Titanium version, and this razor now gives me the closest shaves I've ever experienced, with the least amount of effort.
Five blades are not better than four, because with five the blades must be spaced closer together, which makes the razor clog more easily. With the Gillette I needed to make more passes over rough spots, and the results were still not as close. The Schick catches hair that the Gillette usually misses. I also like that the Quattro Titanium and Quattro Titanium Power use the same blades unlike Gillette, who wants you to pay a premium for Power blades.
Conclusion: a closer shave that's easier to get. Now shaving is actually fun!
