Didn't they test this shaver before releasing it to the public? I made the big mistake of buying the BHT-500 to replace my old Norelco 2020 (a decent product), and Remington used me as their test subject. The result? The BHT-500 may have a pretty handle but it failed *MISERABLY*.

Shortly after I unpackaged the BHT-500 and applied this razor to my chest, I was reaching for band-aids. Shaves as close as a blade? This thing decided to be more ambitious! Seriously, I was cut so badly that I couldn't bear to continue. Even if it could do a halfway decent job, this unit requires maintenance with oil. Razors are supposed to maintain me, not the other way around!

I'm glad that I kept the receipt, because the next day I traded it for Norelco's new Bodygroom 2030 model (the best I've used so far). Yes, it costs more than the Remington BHT-500 but it's better to pay more for a quality product than to get a good deal on this orange piece of junk.

So, I bought this remington bht-500 recently as a replacement for my phillips norelco body groom. I had owned the bodygroom for 2 years and it was wonderful, never needed to be sharpened, worked very well (better dry than wet). Unfortunately I had lost the different comb attachments for the razor so I needed a replacement. I always saw the bht-500 and thought "why not?"

Review: This product is Remington basically trying to take some of the philips bodygroom users. It honestly seems like they simply took one of there mustache trimmers, added a shaving foil attachment, changed the color, and added a shirtless man to the box and thats it. Im going to get a little descriptive so please skip the next few sentences if your going to be offended. But I used this to trim and stray hairs on my fammily jewels. I was using the clipper head attachment with no comb and it BIT into my sack!!! It bit right into the raphi (googe it) and not only was it painful, but it bled! Now I...Read more
