Suddenly Smooth Deluxe Cream Wax

This is my first at home waxing product, so of course it was a bit painful doing a Brazilian but after 3 sessions I have done enough research and discovered enough tips that the experience is not as bad as my first time.

Pain: I am biracial (African American and Caucasian) and have thick, curly hair. It really does seem like a hit or miss at times when I try to pull up the hair, but when it works it gets ALL of the hair in the area and leaves me 100% smooth. For me personally, I find that pulling against hair growth (typical waxing instructions) does not work on my curly hair and just plain hurts! So I work horizontally, pulling from the clean outer edges. This horizontal way isn't that painful at all. I haven't had any redness, ingrowns, or left behind hairs when I pull horizontally, but a TON of pain when pulling against the grain (probably because no hairs come up, just fierce tugging...)
