Taylor of Old Bond Street Lavender Shaving Cream Bowl [Health and Beauty]

I heard about Taylor's products on a shaving site forum, www.shavemyface.com. This is, as we say in the south, "Really Good Stuff". Keeping in mind that lavender may or may not be everyone's scent, and that the lavender is definitely there, the cream itself is excellent. With a medium to large badger brush, a little cream (about the amount of paste you'd use on your toothbrush) and with the right water mix in a shaving bowl, this cream will give a smooth, silky and cushioned shave. This jar should outlast several cans of goo they call shaving cream! I have used quality hard soaps and a few good creams and rate this an A+ product. I would expect similar results from the other Taylor creams, although I have not used them. If you have sensive skin, I would avoid this one and try Taylor's Jermyn Street Sensitive Skin Shaving Cream. (Note: I am reviewing the Lavender here, in spite of the Lemon and Lime photo.)

I have been using this product for the past five years. I switched to it from the usual "foam in a can" products, and boy what a difference it has been. The rich lather that can be worked up with a good badger hair brush makes a world of difference from the often uncomfortable lather that comes out of a can.
I would recommend thinking twice before traveling with the bowl though - a half empty bowl kept on its side for a prolonged period of time (as in a suitcase) will cause the cream to settle to one side of the bowl and can be quite annoying if you're particular about the cream being level in the bowl.
This is a wonderful product and is a must have for anyone looking for a good wet shaving experience.

It has a very nice scent and its texture makes the shaving experience more pleasant. May be more expensive than the standard shaving creams however it takes months to finish. I ordered my 3rd bowl over the time and will order another one when needed.
