I decided to make the switch from shaving foams (canned type) to soap. After spending hours reviewing them I came across this brand and decided to give it a go. OUTSTANDING!!! Received the product ahead of the schedule date and was NOT disappointed at all. This is excellent for folks that have sensitive skin as well.
Gets the job done,

The Art of Shaving Soap lathers very well and last a long time. I have used this product for over a year and I definitely recommend it.

I got the Art of Shaving (AoS) set for my birthday last year. I had seen their stuff before but always been intimidated by the price. After applying the cream, it is immediately a very different sensation than that of my old go to Barbasol. It is definitely less 'fluffy' in fact it is quite thick and dense which used to be what I avoided in shaving, but in exchange for fluffy you get slippery and slick. The soap lathers up less quickly than some others I have tried namely Taylor of Bond Street(TOBS). TOBS is second rate in comparison, put simply it burns my skin. I used the sandalwood product in both soap varieties. If you read up about shave geek's favorite soaps AoS is commonly listed as a favorite, and is considered one of the best!
You may still be intimidated by the price, but let me tell you this: it lasts for eons! I think it took almost a year to finish the soap!
As far as the cream vs. soap question, I like the soap better, it feels thicker and more...Read more
