I originally purchased this shaving stand with TAOS's Nickel-plated badger brush [...] and Engraved Gillette Fusion razor [...]. After setting up the stand with brush (with bristles pointed towards the ground) and razor, the brush hanging loosely on the stand slipped off and nicked my vanity.
At this point I knew I had to return the stand to TAOS and choose a stand that would hold onto my brush and razor more tightly. TAOS staff then recommended the Gillette Fusion Chrome Collection Brush & Shaving Stand [...]. At the same time I decided to switch to a safety razor. In TAOS store the staff recommended the Merkur Vision 2000 Safety razor [...] and showed me what it would look like to have said safety razor and brush mounted on the Fusion Chrome Brush & Razor stand. The result was a much better grip on both razor and brush, so I went with this option and have not gone back since!
