I bought this primarily for the Lithium Ion battery given that my prior Wahl harit clippers were NiCad and 15+ years old and I had changed batteries twice already.
What's improved:
-Lithium Ion batteries: are a big improvement over Ni Cad (which have annoying 'memory') or even NiMH (which don't have memory but lose charge just sitting unused). Lithium Ion batteries hold a charge for a very long time so are an excellent choice for this device.
-Adjustable head: with no attachments clipped on the head, theis lever permits adjusting how close the clipper will cut. This is handy for trimming around the ears.
-Modern design: sleeker and more comfortable in the hand than the old design
-Accessories: lots of clipper accessories in this kit ...more size selections than previous kits -- probably more than you'll ever need since a 3-4 size would have been fine but you get more than a half-dozen for the clipper-Packaging: comes in a zip case that hold...Read more

I have been getting my head shaved since I was 7 years. I have been shaving my own head since I was 19. I am now 28. Over the last 21 years, I have never found a hair trimmer that cuts hair this well. NONE!!
The blades are sharp and cut hair like butter. I was able to shave my entire head in under 5 minutes. I have owned many razors (Conair, Norelco, etc...). I love this product and am contemplating buying more as back-ups in the future. With just 4 hair cuts, your money is made back.
Along with being a head trimmer, it is great for beards, too. Also, the smaller razor is used for precision trimming and it works great as well.

The cordless lithium ion wahl clippers are the greatest. Up until now i was using an older wahl clipper. I had been using it for over 12 yrs and the motor was finally starting to go. I ordered this one because the other was also so cumbersome that i was getting tired of carrying around the kit and extention cords everywhere (my husband has a beard and looks like S.Claus so i have the job of keeping his hair and beard trimmed all year long. This makes it so much easier. Just 1 charge and it was ready to go and i was done in less than 20 minutes unlike before when it took me almost an hour (and i have spinal arthritis which it made very painful) This one took all that pain away by shortening the time it took. It is Awesome. Its great.
