I just got this so I don't have a long term view of it, but I had previously purchased cheap plastic trimmers with NICAD or NIMH batteries that lasted for a couple months or so then died. I decided I wanted to purchase the last trimmer I'd ever need (unless I lost it!), and this trimmer fits the bill. As soon as you pull it out of the case you can feel how solidly constructed it is, I think I could probably throw it at a wall and it would be fine. I did a beard/sideburn trim last night and it had zero problems. It comes with a ton of attachments for both head type as well as trimming length. Highly recommended, stop filling landfills with junky cheap trimmers and buy a good one that will last!

This trimmer has a solid construction for sure. The problem, i find, lies within the guides. The 8 guides that come with it in different sizes to cut hair are somewhat flimsy. I feel they will break easily and probably before anything goes wrong with the trimmer hence the reason for the 4 stars. I have only had the trimmer for a a couple days and it is nice because it has a ear/nose hair trimmer with a detailer and hair cutter in it. I love the solid steel construction which makes it sleek.
Another problem i have had is that i find i have to hit the power button several times before the trimmer actually turns off. This doesn't happen every time i hit the power button but it has happened several times.
Another sort of annoyance is that the trimmer does not run when plugged in. It has to be charged to run. One of the things i have found useful in other trimmers is when the battery runs out i can plug it in and use it but this is not the case with this trimmer. There is an...Read more

This shaver has a quality attachments and is built to last. The options for grooming seem endless. I took the shaver on a week trip without the charger and the battery was still going at the end.
The only real problem I've had with it was once after rinsing it in the sink while shaving It would not turn off. The simple on/off push button must have gotten water in the terminals, and it took 5 min of shaking and pushing to turn it off. The design has easy to pop off shaving heads, but, that allows for water to reach the terminals easily.
This only happened once, just be aware of it.
