I use the Peanut for the inside of my Scottish Terriers' ears, trimming around their faces, and the pads of their feet. This model is terrific as there's no trailing cord to get in the way of my movements in these delicate areas. One charge gives me plenty of power to do all three dogs.
I've been using this trimmer weekly for over three years, and the charge still holds as when it was new. The blade will get hot, so I recommend having a second blade to switch out if using it for the full charge time.
It will eventually be necessary to purchase replacement blades, even with proper blade care. I haven't found anyone who will sharpen these blades due to the plastic housing. But, I'm quite pleased with the quality of these trimmers.
As long as one remembers they are "trimmers", and doesn't expect them to do the job of full size clippers, there should be no disappointment.

First I want to say that this product is a cordless model. That said, it has the power to function well as a trimmer but I don't feel it would hold up as a clipper. In fact if I purchased it again, I would buy the corded model. As a trimmer, it does a fine job and trims very close. Better than all previous models I've owned.

I've been using corded Wahl clippers for many years and use them weekly to trim my hair and beard. Unfortunately, the corded models are a bit heavy for when I travel (I travel light with just one medium bag for several weeks at a time). They also don't work in parts of the world where the electricity frequency differs from the US, unless one uses a heavy transformer. I decided to buy the Wahl Peanut Cordless so that I wouldn't waste time going to barbers who inevitably do a less than satisfactory job.
I'm very pleased with the Peanut. It is very light and runs on just one AA battery. I ditched the battery charger that comes with it since it's too bulky. I use a Tekkeon TekCharge Mobile Power and Battery Charger when I travel since it's an awesome product that charges AA batteries as well as any USB powered device. And I use high...Read more
