Wahl Professional 8685 Peanut Classic Clipper/trimmer

I have been shaving my head for over 10 years. I have used most every blade, cream, gel or electric razor on the market. The closest shave for me has been a Mach 3 with a shaving gel. However, shaving my head every day with a blade takes a lot of time and alot of Mach 3 razors---Additionally, I am prone to ingrown hairs on the back of my head. Because of these reasons, I thought I would try the peanut. WOW!!!!! What a great product. It does not shave as close as a blade but it is darn close and it shaves much closer than any other clipper out there. (now that I have lots of gray hair, the very close cut looks like a shave) Using the Peanut has solved my ingrown hair issue completely. This little bugger is very well made and has plenty of power. Also, I have NEVER cut myself with it. The best shave will always be a blade but the Peanut gets the job done in a third of the time, with no cuts or ingrown hairs. It's a winner.

I LOVE this clipper/trimmer! My mother-in-law gave me this set 15 years ago because I cut hair for 4 boys and one hubby. My Peanut is still going strong and just now I think I need to replace the blade.

This clipper is lightweight, easy to use, and it does a terrific job. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!

The Peanut is everything it is advertised to be. It is very small and very light. It cuts hair without cutting the skin. It has a good selection of cutting guides. It is easy to clean. The blade system snaps on and off for easy (though not cheap) replacement. The unit does not accept 220V, a downside for international travelers.

Update...After six months of weekly usage, I still hold this item in high regard. It is working as if it were new.

Update...After 18 months of weekly usage, the unit still operates as if new. As a frequent international traveller I wish it accepted 110V to 240V so I would not need to carry a voltage converter.
